Safe Trick or Treat on Pumpkin Lane

Friday October 31st, 2008
Wanted: Boys and Ghouls!
From 5pm to 8pm

The pumpkins will be harvested in time for all of the fair princesses, beauty queens, witches, warlocks, ghouls, and mischief makers to come out and safely Trick or Treat on Halloween night. DEMA will be continuing its Safe Tricks or Treats. Hwy 101 will be converted into Pumpkin Lane featuring fantastic, carved pumpkins at various viewing locations. There will also be a costume contest, games and music.

The many merchants handing out candy will be marked with a balloon. Pumpkins can be viewed at various locations throughout downtown. Children can play Halloween games as well as dance to the Peanut Butter Cookies Band from 5:30pm-7:30pm in the courtyard of the Lumberyard.

Once again the monks at the Self Realization Fellowship are donating the pumpkins, as well as their time and pumpkin carving expertise to bring Pumpkin Lane to life.

The Downtown Encinitas Mainstreet Association invites young and old to enjoy a spooky and cheerful Halloween in historic Downtown Encinitas.
