The Encinitas 101 MainStreet Association Team
Thora Guthrie, Executive Director
Thora Guthrie is first and foremost a builder – a builder of teams, of consensus, of support and of communities. For many years, Thora thrived in the fast-paced world of advertising, public relations, events, and marketing, helping businesses and organizations grow through creative communications strategies. She published several magazines, co-founded non-profit organizations and cultural events, and led and participated in many more over the years.
But it is her passion for arts, culture, and enhancing the community that she loves that led to her dream job with E101.
Thora and her new “dream team” are currently expanding efforts to market Downtown Encinitas as a place to shop, dine, and do business. They also work together to enhance communication between the business community, residents, and city leaders to help guide Encinitas through the next decades.
Irene Pyun, Events & Programs Director
Originally from Los Angeles, Irene moved to La Jolla to attend UCSD where she graduated with a BA in Communications. She has since developed years of experience in Public Relations, Marketing, and Event Planning. Her work experience has always pertained to the non-profit sector, given her desire to focus on community enrichment.
Currently residing in Encinitas, you can usually find her in the water. Her dream is to own her very own fishing boat one day and travel the world on it.
Angie Gallo, Operations Coordinator
Angie brings over 20 years of experience building and supporting companies throughout Encinitas. She has a passion for growing businesses with a focus on sustained revenue and cash-flow growth. As our Operations Coordinator, she enjoys putting values into practice through strategic planning, process design, and team-building.
In her spare time, you will find Angie and her husband on the beach or camping along the coast with her 2 dogs that wont obey her.
