Caves Wine Shop

Caves wine shop is an online marketplace for world class wines that are hand selected and personally delivered to your door within the San Diego region. Locals Gavin Barnes and Amy Wasowski joined Encinitas 101 to share their passion of wine with our community by bringing wine all over the world to your very doorstep.

Gavin managed a wine bar in London for 4 years and spent two seasons making wine in South Africa and Burgundy, France – laying the foundation for what would become Caves. Meanwhile, Amy was busy building her own reputation as one of San Diego’s budding mixologists. Together, they aim to introduce their customers to a great big world of wine – with some familiar and less than familiar names and regions. Along with an incredible selection of affordable wines, Caves also provides a wine club for those hoping to find something new for aspiring wine-o’s.
