Mike Fake

I moved to Encinitas 24 years ago and have witnessed this sleepy beach town evolve into a vibrant community filled with small business and tourism.  For over 20 years, I’ve been proud to serve our community as a mortgage originator, helping individuals and families achieve the dream of homeownership. In addition, I own a financial services firm focused on safe money retirement investments, where I support clients in securing their financial futures.

Alongside my professional work, I’ve been actively involved with the local YMCA for over 15 years, serving in various positions on the board of directors and serving on the Roof Raiser committee which is an annual golf tournament that raises in excess of $100k to improve the YMCA facilities. I cherish the opportunity to give back and stay connected with the people around me.

Outside of work, you’ll often find me enjoying the outdoors—camping with the YMCA adventure guides, surfing the local breaks or skiing with my two kids. 

I’m excited about the possibility of contributing to the Encinitas 101 Society’s mission of enhancing and preserving the unique charm of our city. I look forward to bringing a community-focused perspective and supporting initiatives that keep Encinitas a vibrant and welcoming place for everyone.
